Paying a stripper: deposit, balance and tips

On Stripspot you pay a stripper in two parts: a deposit through the platform when you book, and the remaining balance directly to the performer on the night. Tipping isn't customary and isn't expected; the agreed price is the price. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, or the performer doesn't show up, you get your deposit back.

Talking about money at a party is never much fun, especially with a performer who has just walked through the door. Still, it's one of the questions people ask most: how do you pay a stripper, when, and do you need to tip? International forums are full of talk about dollar bills and twenty percent tips. In the Netherlands it works differently, and on Stripspot it's all arranged clearly in advance. Here's exactly how.

    How payment works on Stripspot

The whole process comes down to a few steps:

    1. You send a request. It's free and there's no obligation. You fill in the date, time, location and your wishes.
    2. Performers respond with an offer. Available strippers send you a proposal, usually within 10 minutes. You can see what each performer charges for the act.
    3. You book and pay the deposit. The deposit is always paid through the platform. That makes the booking final.
    4. You pay the balance on the night. You hand it over directly to the performer on the spot.

So you know in advance exactly what you'll pay. No other amount appears on the night apart from what you agreed. For more on how the platform works, see how it works.

Why a deposit through the platform?

The deposit protects both sides. The performer knows the booking is serious and keeps the evening free. You know your money won't just disappear, because it goes through Stripspot rather than to an unknown bank account or a payment request from a stranger.

That last point matters. On classified ad sites and in random messages you regularly come across people who want the full amount up front, without you knowing who will turn up. If something goes wrong, you have nobody to fall back on. Read more about how to book a reliable stripper.

Do you get your deposit back?

    Yes, in these cases:

    • You cancel at least 24 hours in advance. You simply get your deposit back. You cancel yourself, at the bottom of your request page.
    • The performer doesn't show up. With a no-show you always get your deposit back.

If you cancel less than 24 hours beforehand, or the show goes ahead but the guest of honour doesn't want to take part, the booked act is paid for. On the night itself you can still adjust the plan in consultation with the performer. More on that in our article on a surprise stripper.

Paying the balance on the night

You pay the balance directly to the performer on the evening itself. A few practical tips:

    • Decide in advance who's paying. If you're organising as a group, collect the money beforehand. Nobody wants to start counting after the show.
    • Have it ready when the performer arrives. Then they can focus straight away on the show. You'll get a message 15 to 20 minutes before the performer arrives.
    • Check how the performer wants to be paid. If you're not sure how they'd like to receive the balance, just ask through the platform after booking.

Do you have to tip a stripper?

No. Tipping isn't customary for a booked strip act in the Netherlands and isn't expected either. That's a big difference from what you see in American films and on international forums, where strippers largely live on tips. For a strip act booked through Stripspot, the agreed price is simply the price of the show.

So there's no need to have notes ready and nobody expects anything extra afterwards. Want to show you enjoyed the show? Leave a review on the performer's profile. That helps both the performer and future customers far more.

    What determines the price?

The price itself depends on a few factors: solo or duo, travel time, timing (weekend or weekday, last minute) and any themes or outfits. Strip acts through Stripspot start from €200. Everything about pricing is explained on stripper rental prices and in how much does a stripper cost. Thinking about two performers? Have a look at duo strippers.
